Join the Embassy of Ireland, Solas Nua, and the Notre Dame Club of Washington, D.C., in commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising at this free screening of '1916 The Irish Rebellion' at 7 pm and, in a second theatre, at 7:30 p.m., on Monday 25 April at the E Street Cinema.

Produced by Notre Dame and Coco Television and narrated by Liam Neeson, this landmark documentary tells the dramatic story of the 1916 Easter Rising, a seminal moment on Ireland's path to independence, which began on Easter Monday, 24 April 1916. The documentary also highlights the critical role played by Irish America in securing freedom and self-determination for Ireland.
