The Embassy of Ireland and the Centre for Irish Studies, Charles University, will be hosts for a screening and panel discussion.

The programme for the evening:

  • Welcome and introductory address by the Honorable Charles Sheehan, Ambassador of Ireland to the Czech Republic
  • Opening remarks by Professors Christopher Fox and Thomas Bartlett
  • 1916 The Irish Rebellion (86 minutes)
  • Panel discussion:

Thomas Bartlett, Chair emeritus of Irish History at the University of Abderdeen and general editor of a four-volume history of Ireland to be published by Cambridge University Press (forthcoming, 2017)

Christopher Fox (Executive Producer for Notre Dame of the documentary), Professor of English and Director, Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, University of Notre Dame

Ondřej Pilný, Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Irish Studies, Charles University
