In partnership with the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and Notre Dame's London Global Gateway, the Keough-Naughton Institute's Reframing 1916 tour includes a screening of the documentary, followed by a panel discussion.  

5:30 p.m.: Reception, Trafalgar Hall

6:30 p.m.: Screening of 1916 The Irish Rebellion (86 minutes)

7:45 p.m.:  Question and Answer session with:

Bríona Nic Dhíarmada (Originator, Creator, Producer and Executive Producer of the documentary), Thomas J. and Kathleen M. O'Donnell Professor of Irish Studies and Concurrent Professor of Film, Television and Theater, University of Notre Dame.

Special Note:  The screening of 1916 The Irish Rebellion and panel discussion following is part of a two-day symposium.

On Monday, October 24, 5:00 p.m., also in Trafalgar Hall, Charles Townshend, FBA, Professor of International History at Keele University and author of Easter 1916: The Irish Rebellion, will speak on "War, Rebellion and Revolution in Ireland."  He will be introduced by A. James McAdams, William M. Scholl Professor of International Affairs and Director of the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.
