Screening and Panel Discussion - University of Cambridge

As part of the Faculty of History's Modern Irish History Seminar, The University of Cambridge is host for the screening and panel discussion of the feature-length version (86 minutes) of 1916 The Irish Rebellion.

The film will be preceded by a wine reception, hosted by the Embassy of Ireland.

Panelists are:

Bríona Nic Dhiarmada, the Thomas J. and Kathleen M. O'Donnell Professor of Irish Studies and Concurrent Professor of Film, Television and Theater at the University of Notre Dame.  
Professor Nic Dhiarmada is the originator, writer, and producer of the documentary and, along with Christopher Fox, Professor of English and Director of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, its executive producer.

Thomas Bartlett, Chair emeritus of Irish History at the University of Abderdeen and general editor of a four-volume history of Ireland to be published by Cambridge University Press (forthcoming, 2017)
