Screening of the feature-length documentary1916 The Irish Rebellion (86 minutes) followed by a discussion with Bríona Nic Dhiarmada, the originator, writer, producer and executive producer of the documentary, and the Thomas J. and Kathleen M. O'Donnell Professor of Irish Studies and Concurrent Professor of Film, Television and Theater, University of Notre Dame.

The screening is part of "Irish Day" at the University of Silesia, sponsored by its Institute of English Cultures and Literatures and the Irish Culture Foundation. The Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland in Poland, His Excellency Gerard Keown, is a special guest.
